John has been recognised for his contribution to regenerative farming for many years. In 2023 he was awarded an Associateship of the Royal Agricultural Society for his distinguished achievement in the agricultural industry, and in 2025 he was named Soil Farmer of the Year at Groundswell. He is a member of the Herefordshire Regenerative Agriculture Group, sponsored by the Royal Countryside Fund, and a Director of the Herefordshire Rural Hub.

John offers farm talks and walks tailored to the needs of participants, covering regenerative farming, soil health and the practical realities of transitioning from conventional systems. Grounded in lived experience at Trecorras Farm, these sessions share both the challenges and the measurable improvements seen over time — an honest contribution to the wider regenerative movement that focuses on what genuinely works in practice. John is also happy to offer guidance and consultancy for individual farms.
